Sender Health

Understand the Health of Your Sending Domain

Sender Health gives each of your sending domains a score out of 100 based on the last 30 days. It starts at 100, takes points away for anything holding the domain back, and shows every deduction next to its reason, so you always know what to fix first.

  • One score per sending domain, recalculated from the last 30 days
  • Seven factors, each with a visible point value

What goes into the score

Seven factors. Every point accounted for.

These are the exact rules Inbrovia uses. Each factor appears in the app under the name shown, with its message and its point value.

Authentication

Whether the domain is connected and its DNS records pass.

  • Domain status Ready±0
  • Domain status Needs Attention: recommended records missing or failing−8
  • Domain not fully connected yet−40
  • No DMARC policy detected−4
  • SPF alignment not confirmed−3

Delivery

Shown in the app as Reputation

Delivered messages divided by messages sent in the last 30 days.

  • Fewer than 200 sent: reputation still forming−2
  • 98% or more delivered±0
  • 95% to 98% delivered−5
  • Below 95% delivered−15

Bounces

Hard bounces divided by messages sent. Scored once at least 200 messages were sent.

  • 2% or less±0
  • Above 2%, up to 5%−10
  • Above 5%−25

Complaints

Spam complaints divided by messages sent. Scored once at least 200 messages were sent.

  • 0.08% or less±0
  • Above 0.08%, up to 0.2%−10
  • Above 0.2%, up to 0.5%−25
  • Above 0.5%−45

Audience quality

Shown in the app as Audience Quality

Invalid addresses in imports completed in the last 30 days.

  • 2% invalid or less±0
  • Above 2%, up to 8%−4
  • Above 8%−10

Suppression

Shown in the app as Suppression Health

Suppressed addresses as a share of active plus suppressed recipients, for the brand and workspace-wide suppressions.

  • 10% or less±0
  • Above 10%, up to 25%−3
  • Above 25%: review acquisition sources−8

Recent sending behavior

Shown in the app as Recent Sending Behavior

Volume compared with the 30 days before, and whether workspace sending is limited.

  • Volume consistent±0
  • More than 4× the previous 30 days and over 2,000 sent−6
  • Workspace sending currently limited−10

Unsubscribes and soft bounces are shown for context but do not change the score. The final score is rounded and kept between 0 and 100.

States

What each label means.

The label follows the score, except Paused, which overrides it whenever the domain is suspended or workspace sending is paused.

  • Excellent90–100Nothing significant is holding the domain back.
  • Healthy75–89Sending is in good shape; check the factors that cost points.
  • Needs Attention50–74One or more factors needs fixing before reputation slips further.
  • High RiskBelow 50Campaign Guardian warns before every send from this domain.
  • PausedAny scoreThe domain is suspended or workspace sending is paused. Contact support.
Authentication

The factor you can fix today.

A domain that is not fully connected loses 40 points and cannot send. The required records prove ownership and sign your campaigns with DKIM. The recommended ones, SPF through a custom MAIL FROM subdomain and a DMARC policy, move the domain from Needs Attention to Ready.

Follow the step-by-step guide to connect your sending domain. Inbrovia checks the records automatically and the domain status updates on its own.

How to act on it

Start with the biggest deduction.

Open the “Why” panel under a domain's score on the Sender Health page. Factors are listed with their point values, so the largest number is the first thing to fix.

Authentication
Finish the DNS records shown on the domain page. Add the DMARC record and the MAIL FROM records if the domain shows Needs Attention.
Delivery
Open the campaign results to see delayed and rejected messages, and check whether one list or import is behind them.
Bounces
Stop sending to old or unconfirmed lists, fix typos at signup and read the import quality report before every import.
Complaints
Send only to people who asked to hear from you, make the sender name recognizable and the unsubscribe link easy to find, and offer topics.
Audience quality
Clean the source file and fix invalid rows before the next import, rather than importing and hoping.
Suppression
A large suppressed share usually points to a poor list source. Review where recent contacts came from.
Recent sending behavior
Grow volume gradually. A send four times larger than usual is a signal mailbox providers notice.

Bounces cost the most points after authentication and complaints. Read how to reduce your email bounce rate.

Before every send

Sender Health feeds Campaign Guardian.

When you check a campaign, Guardian also scores Sender Health for the campaign's sending domain. Below 50 it raises a warning to review Sender Health and consider a smaller audience. Separately, a domain that is not connected and verified blocks the send outright.

WarningSender health is high risk (46)

Sending while reputation is weak makes recovery harder.

Fix: Review Sender Health before sending; consider a smaller audience.

Questions

About Sender Health.

Is Sender Health my reputation at Gmail or Outlook?
No. Mailbox providers keep their own reputation data and do not share it. Sender Health is Inbrovia's view of the same signals, calculated from your own sending: authentication, delivery, bounces, complaints, list quality and volume.
How often does the score change?
It is calculated from rolling 30-day totals for the domain, so it reflects your most recent sending each time you open it.
Why is a new domain not at 100?
With fewer than 200 messages sent in the last 30 days, Sender Health subtracts 2 points because reputation is still forming. Bounce and complaint rates are only scored once there is enough sending to measure.
Do unsubscribes lower the score?
No. The unsubscribe rate is shown next to the score for context, but unsubscribing is a healthy choice for a recipient to make and does not cost points.
Is the score per brand or per domain?
Per sending domain. Each domain connected to a brand gets its own score. Audience quality and suppression use the brand's imports and suppression list, including workspace-wide suppressions.
